TRANSPORT FUND WINS WITH EPIC SPONSORSHIP

Thanks to Nic Lamond and Hannes Hannekom and their participation in the 2014 ABSA Cape Epic, Pink Lady® apples and Tru-Cape Fruit Marketing have raised an incredible R30 000 for the Tygerberg Hospital’s Breast Clinic Transport Fund.

Their phenomenal ride and Top 30 finish, helped raise more funds for kilometres pedalled as both Pink Lady® apples and Tru-Cape sponsored the team per km ridden but with an extra incentive to boost the funds raised if they finished in the Top 30.

Being diagnosed with Breast Cancer and plucking up the courage to fight the disease is one thing in itself but imagine not being able to go for your treatment because you do not have the funds to cover transportation to and from the clinic. The Transport Fund helps those who cannot afford this cost with the necessary financial assistance for them to get to all their treatments regularly.
